Intelligent. Bright. Loving. Active. Hungry. Discerning. Innocent. I could go on and on. You are a celebrity. We are constantly stopped in stores, parks and schools with, "Samuel!! It's Samuel!!" You smile, give a high five, make them feel good about themselves, show a little love and we move on. You are God's hands and feet without saying a word. If only you could give lessons. You are the sweetest little boy that I've ever met. I was watching some old videos this week of when you were a baby. Not even a year old. You were so happy. Loving. Bright. Anxious to laugh and love. You still make some of the same noises now at 5-years-old. Your hums and grunts. I try so hard to understand each one. Please know that I try. I know you get frustrated with me because I don't know your thoughts. But gosh, I try so hard. I get frustrated with myself too. You are perfect. Inside and out. There is nothing wrong with you. You are exactly how God wanted you to be. You teach the rest of us how to be unselfish, others centered. You are lovely. I feel so special to be chosen as your Mother. I get the privilege of knowing you best. I can calm you when no one else can. You reach for me. I never want you feel like you are a burden to anyone. I don't want you to lower your head when other children don't understand you. You are amazing. Anyone who can't see that, doesn't deserve your attention. 04/2015

Yes, he is perfect and you are the perfect mom for him. God chose you to be his mom and God doesn't make mistakes.
ReplyDeleteShan, I stand with your Mom in that you ARE the perfect Mom for Samuel...God know JUST what He was doing. I know sometimes we don't understand. You & Michael are the right parents for him...Samuel is a sweet little man.(Mamaw's sweetie)..Everyone that knows Samuel, can see his love & all his smiles to people...Just keep on the good work that you are doing. With the Lord's help, all things will work for the good to the ones that loves Him & are called for His purpose..I love & miss you all so much!
